Way to trigger opus ?? 12v pulse ??

I have an extra AUX. channel on my alarm system in my truck..... It when you press two buttons at the same time on the remote it will send a 12v pulse to the wire for things like trunk pop and stuff.... Well is there any way to use that AUX. wire to turn on my carpc with opus ?? That would completely eliminate a power on switch on the dash if I can do it from remote, AND, I could hit the aux. control as I'm walking up to the truck and have the computer already booting up.... The opus should survive crank.... Picking up the xenarc flipout from dww that turns on with signal from the computer, so I can automate the entire thing from just the turn on.... Any way this can work ?? My office is above my truck in the lot and my remote reaches.... I can have the computer start up as I'm walking down to the truck, and remote reaches from kitchen, I can have computer booting before I even walk out the door.... THanks guys !!

So would having an opus, since it turns on and off automagically. The opus I use (it's not mine, so it wouldnt be proper to say "my opus") has a delay from when it gets power to when it turns on, so I dont think a pulse would quite work unless the pulse is sufficiently long--say 15 seconds or so.

It doesnt use a pulse, it uses 12V switched ignition live as on/off and permanent live for power. Hence no switch apart from ignition... If you have remote start then this would work on a standard opus install.

You would probably have to make up a relay based circuit... This guy HERE

had it wired to the central locking you might want to ask him how it was done.

Also on the Opus you can have it use standby so as to get rid of the wait for startup
