Right you are. He probably doesn't even need the 200watts anyway.

What if he needs to run a server farm?
I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you an understanding.

    Hi Jeff,
How high is the efficiency at smaller load conditions? ~0.5 Amp or less. What is the no load current draw?
Will any input or output filtering be required to reduce EMI or RFI, or is this a non-issue?
    Thanks!
    TBD

Then he needs to get together with the guy wanting to put a P4-2.8 with top of the range video and a raid system in his car and they can keep warm together .

The "off current" is about 100 microamps.

The no load current is between 15-50 mA depending on wether the voltage is under over.

Yes it is under 60 mV at a 10 amp load

And it can do that ripple over the full specified voltage range and load condition? In particular, at the lowest Vin you specify and a 10A load does the output ripple stay below 120mV?

I decided its probably a SEPIC configuration now

From 8-16 volts the ripple stays below 100mV It is worst with an 8v input.

Im the guy that wants the 2.8 ghz and the 9600 pro is a crap video card compared to a pci express type. I bet if i said i wanted a pci express vid card you would have **** yourself. And the raid aray would be icing on the cake.

And what the **** is the point of a carpc if it cant be everything your desktop is? At least im not trying to vapor cool my carpc. Although that would be awsome.

And isnt the point of this forum to push the envelope of what can be done and not just follow what everyone else does? I guess i could be like you and settle for less. Hell i may as well quit my job have 5 kids and live off welfare in a trailer with a fat *** wife. Thanks for the new direction in life. DICK
