    M1-ATX help needed

Sorry i am a noob and i did a search and didnt come up with anything.

just picked up my M1-ATX 90 watt power supply and i was wondering is there any tricks/techniques needed to install it? Is it all jsut basic follow each plug where it all goes and matches up inside the computer.

I can see 3 connectors on 1 end and then 3 orangish colored plugs on the other end. I am just confused what goes were etc. I didnt get any directions or anything just a wiring harness(2 20 pin plugs, 3 4 pin plugs) and then a small like 2 wire harness thing.

I am jsut confused and wondering which parts on the chip are for power, acces switch, and ground etc.

Some pictures or directions would be great. Thanks.

    Chris

Alright....you really should try a little harder to research, there are many places and posts that give all of this information. I know your a noob but that is no excuse.[/lecture]

First of all this page has links to User guide/manual and specs.

The 3 connectors are for a positive, negative, and switched positive. Many people ask about the switched positive. Basically it is a 12v line that turns on with your ignition, just like a remote turn-on for an amp. It is only used for logic-level switching so very little power is consumed from this line.

Oh and the wires that come with the m1-atx (18awg) are, in my opinion, too small I would definatly use 10awg to run the lines to and from the battery.

Its pretty simple, there are no tricks to it just plug n play.

If you have more questions, most likely it has been talked about, so try to harder.
