Hey, with two 400gig monsters, he might need the server/workstation chip just to index them.
I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you an understanding.

Mybad, I meant XP-M. It's either that mobile CPU, or i'm going all out and i'll just get a 939pin mobo and 64bit. I have almost a terabyte worth of mp3s and Divx Xvid. So 800Gigs would be just right for me.

The MP is just like the XP except it has a bridge connected. Same thing with the XP and the XP-M. Connecting a bridge can give you powernow technology, and connecting another bridge can give you multi-processor capability.

OPUS Solutions 150W DC-DC smart power supply, PATENT PENDING, is designed specifically for ATX motherboards to be used in an automotive environment.

will the opus work with the pundit-r? what mobo does the pundit-r have?

I think you'll have to send it to opus to change the timing on or something. to confirm that.

I was told by Opus that they shouldnt need to change anything, but that some pundits dont have an ACPI power switch header, and for that you must solder the power switch to the mobo, or make a small extension header for that...

    no biggie...

Can you join 2 wires togther? That is basically what will need to be done... splice the power wires and join them to the opus... you'll probably want to leave in a connector to be able to change between the opus/stock button, or even leave both connected. You also need to make sure you dont have the wires inverted, but that is just a question of trying it and reversing the wires if it doesnt work... I dont know what you mean about power or anything.... just join the two tips of wire........... or my personal suggestion GET HELP FROM SOMEONE....

I have been trying to help you along, but your attitued throughout has just spelt "I shouldnt be the one doing this"...

Maybe you should consider purchasing a ready-made system and have it fully professionally installed.
