That's a keypower, so yes it will work.

I noticed that it uses 37Amps though! Get a HUGE alternator!

thanks for the info i know nothing about this stuff yet trying to learn. I could get one 1/2 price but if it is going make me get another alternator then i will go another direction. What would be a good safe amps for alternator?

if its truely 60% efficiency....and 12v at 250 watts, makes sense to me that this thing would take under 5 amps......someone with more knowledge of this stuff then me have any ideas?

What do you guys plan on getting for startup/shutdown control with this? Can the CarPC Procontroller from mp3car store (http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=66) be used with this?

It would be more than an opus but much more power + functionality in the combo...

Does this have as low an input voltage tolerance as an Opus? (read: crank survivability)

250 / 12 / 0.6 = ~35A. 37A max input at 12V would be accurate. Wow! My home grown linear 12V DC-DC regulator circuit suddenly looks good.
