Really? I dont think that makes sense though.... Oh well, lets hope that isnt quite true and they make the investment to see if this is worth it (come on, $95 is hardly an investment!) or the manufacturer sends them a free one to try

Well, mp3car requests manufacturers to send them a free copy of the item to test before putting it on the store. Because if it doesn't work then guess who the buyers will blame, and guess who's rating will go down.

Well a 95$ unit that is comparable to an opus 150 would surely yield sales... I doubt that mp3car store wouldnt buy one to test if they saw potential in it...

I guess they want to hold everyone to the same level.
Plus if the creator sends them the product then they have a beleif that it will work, otherwise they just send a free product

Perhaps you mean it contains a SDC (shutdown controller), because it obviously doesn't contain an ITPS.

On a sidenote, from an elecrical engineer's standpoint, I like how all the small parts are mounted on small vertical PCB's, that's a pretty cool idea for saving space, especially when there's already tall components on the board so the vertical boards aren't obtrusive...

It really NOT a DC-DC with preregulated front, it is a DC-DC which works on 7-18v with full protection and start/shut down logic

please some advice...

even the OPUS150 have few choice by pin jumper inside, you can not change it without open the case
