    UPS?? power supply problem

    Hello . i Michael and i have problem with power to my carPC. (WE LOVE YOU MICHAEL )
    I want to put my P2 PC and i don't want to buy OPUS and Inverter
    SO,
    I have an idiea - To put UPS and to plug the car battery into the UPS battery
    Is someone dan(do) it?
    Can it's work?

    OR,
    If i supply all the power to motherbord like +12v +5v
    and -12v -5v ....and all the other volteg
    Can the CPU work?

    not a bad idea, I think I can get an old ups and try it

    this may not be simple, there have been few attempts to do so and the only two projects which seems to work are the sproggy and the MK (but this one is a commercial product right now)

    a UPS would be pretty much an inverter except bigger.
    it does make sense that it would work but why go through the problem of opening one up and gutting it out when a 400W inverter costs less than a UPS? And would look a lot neater on the install too
