    What about Regenerative Braking

Since Hybrid cars use the heat generated by the brakes as part of its charging system, can the generators be put onto other brake systems and allow us another place to charge the battery...

    es posible!?

I still think human waste cars would be most effiecient eat and pee in ur gas tank for a fuel, and if u take a dump in it you get twice as much Fuel !

Is it anything to do with heat ??

I thought that it was the momentum of the car driving the electric motor so it acts as a generator.

So stick an alternator near a driveshaft, hook up a drive mechanism that will allow for the movement of the driveshaft, then a electromagnetic clutch rigged up so it only engages when on overrun.

    Is it worth it ??

You're close. You want a generator. An alternator is designed to take varying rpm and generate relatively high voltage in the form of alternating current at low rpm. It converts that to DC power and sends it on to the rest of the car to charge the coils/distributor, charge the battery and run accessories.

A generator generates DC power when turned by a shaft. It has the additional advantage of being a motor when electricity is applied at the terminals. You may have heard the term starter/generator in aviation circles. It can serve two functions.

What that means is that hybrid cars can use the motor that powers the wheels to generate electricity from the rotation of the car wheels. That increases the resistance of the axle and slows the wheel. Stopping a car generates a lot of power in a very short time and so something has to be there to absorb and store the power. I don't know exactly how they do this in hybrids but a capacitor is one way to store large amounts of power in a very short time. You can then trickle it out to the battery in a fashion that the battery can absorb or apply it back to the motors to turn the wheels and get the car moving again.

I have a feeling that doing this on your car would be costly, difficult, and possibly dangerous (big capacitors can put out plenty of juice to kill you).

By the way, you don't have to use regenerative braking to do this. Just slow charge a giant capacitor directly from your alternator while you drive. Just don't be within 20 feet of it when it gets over a few thousand volts...
