Do A Search On 19v
(hint And If Carnetix Comes Up Then You Have Struck Gold - Big Hint There!)
Hi everybody!
I need some help about the power supply of my carputer.
I've used, as carputer, an HP E-VECTRA... not very powerful, but it does well its job!
It has an internal notebook power supply that takes 19 volt in input.
Thus, I've simply bought a universal laptop car adapter, and it works fine.
The problem is that it works only when the engine is on.
Because, it seems that when the engine is off, the car battery does not provide sufficient voltage (or maybe current) in order to allow the laptop adapter to work properly.
By the way, there is also the voltage drop problem when there is the engine ignition.
May someone help me in solving that problem?
I'd like to use my carputer even with the engine off!
Thanks!
Simone
