Need help.. will I blow it up ?

ok just getting ready for my next install.. going for a laptop this time, but I have bought a m1 atx psu to control the start up / shut down process..

now then this is my question..

I wont be using the atx connector, just want to draw power from the rails.. heres whats going to be attached.. I need to know if it will be safe or not.

Ok, on the atx connector onboard u have a fly lead coming off, with 2 normal hardrive connectors on it, and one floppy connector... I want to run my laptop car psu rated at 65watts and my xenarc screen on this 12v rail.. the other 5v rail will be used to power the usb cdrom up front.. so can this 12v rail single pin on the m1atx psu handle my psu for the laptop and the xenarc screen.. ??

I will also using the anti pop sound wire to turn my amp on, but as this will be only a signal wire, I dont think that will matter to much..

what do u think.. bang or not bang ??

ok update on this.. I thought I would just go ahead and try it..

Sadly, the M1ATX device wont do what I wanted.. It will turn the laptop off, but wont turn it on ..

You have to short pins 14/15 together to make the m1 output on the 12v rail, but I dont think the signal to turn the laptop on it correct. On another down side the dc dell adapter that I've been using for about 6 months on mains (dual 12v and mains adapter) decided to pack up yeasterday. I thought I had fixed but, but a crimp in the wire seems to have damaged some circuit inside it.

so now where do I go.. hmmmm order a new psu for the dell 60 + vat + postage and build myself a relay circuit to turn the dell on.

ok.. I might as well ask. I could swap the m1atx for the opus out of my bmw before I sell it.. just wondering if anyone knows if I would stand a chance with this turning on my laptop via the motherboard wire ?
