OPUS keeps Rebooting my system
Okay, here is the system currently:
ASUS P4P800-MX motherboard 3.0 GHz P4 1G Ram
60G 7200 RPM HDD
DLink Wireless PCI Card
The problem. The OPUS will shut down and restart the computer every few minutes.
What I've tried
I changed the Pentium 4 processor out for a Celeron 2.4 ghz. That was to ensure it wasn't me pulling too much power.
I placed a BIG Desktop FAN Pointing directly at the OPUS board with the cover off (to ensure it wasn't a heat problem).
I've checked the ASUS Probe Application and it's showing all temps on the board are very well under their limits. Voltages? Well, 12v is about 12.5v then rest seem a tad high but they work.
Now I am powering the OPUS with a 430W ATX Power Supply. But the LCD is not loosing power, only the OPUS so it doesn't seem like it's the ATX Power supply.
It's still happening. It will just reboot the PC. Now when it comes back on, the computer doesn't say anything about scanning the hard drive, which is kinda odd??
Yes, I have advanced power management enabled in the bios. hibernation is disabled for now. Power management in windows XP is set to never sleep or shut down anything (not even a screen saver or turn off the monitor). It also doesn't seem like it's a problem with APM because it's happened while I was using the computer.
I'm not sure what's going on here. Any help would be appriciated.
