    anyone used one? it doesnt say anything about a startup/shutdown controller, i dont think..

    Nope, no shutdown controller, you can purchase it seperatly.
    Also check out Mastero power supply, it's also 250w with built in SHC, but you have to build it yourself.

    The Mastero supply is not a 250W supply as specified. The only way you can hope to get 250W out of this thing is to reduce the 2587 boost voltage down to something more reasonable and you are still going to need a lot of forced air if you want to expect it to live on a hot summer day at anywhere near it delivering 250W.

    It's a Keypower KP-DX250H. Lots of people on this board have them.
    No shutdown controller - you will need to get one seperately if you want one.
