Anyone seen this 12v DC-DC ATX power supply?

    http://www.voxtechnologies.com/Power...es/vtc0144.htm

I was quoted just under $200. I may give it a try instead of the inverter/120v PSU route.

I'm not to terribly concerned about it surviving crank because if I'm in the car its going to be running. Being in the middle of the desert you dont really want to sit in a car without the air conditioning going . Again not really concerned about a shutdown controller either. Starting up and shutting down manually doesnt bother me much.

I found a interesting PSU on ebay today that I decided I would try.

I'll let you guys know how it works out. It should be enough juice to power my system.

    AMD XP 1800
    256Mb Ram
    Onboard Video, Audio, Lan
    802.11g PCI card
    92mm Zalman Heatsink
    2 50mm fans, 1 80mm fan.

Care to explain at all? Or are we just making assumptions? The item is described as a 200W ATX power supply.

Will the PW 200 M work for my setup?
You'd do well to ignore the backbiting in that thread....
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
