    Carnetix - Switching shutdown times

Does anyone know if it is safe to change the shutdown time whilst the carnetix is powered on?? i.e fit a switch on the jumper for the shutdown time so I can change it easily depending on the scenario, i.e at home (6 seconds) at Petrol Station (15 minutes).

Wow...now that's innovation! Yes, it's perfectly safe to do that. The firmware checks the status of the jumper after the ignition switch is turned off and before it begins the Shutdown Delay. Just be careful with the wire you are extending since there's no transient or overvoltage protection on those connections.

Excellent :-) I'm sick of the CarPC being on for 15 minutes if I pull up at home and don't need the CarPC yet its annoying if set to 6 seconds and I need petrol or nip into a shop or something.

    Glad its possible.
