Another Inverter Question: DSSC STUFF CHRIS PLEASE READ

i have a DSSC, mATX, and inverter running currently

for some reason, the relays arent working in that the inverter is not turning off. i have it wired as shown in the attached diagram. the switch is always on.

Chris warned me against relaying into the physical switch. anyone disagree with that?

but it USED to work well like this. Right now if i turn off the car, the system shuts down, but on restarting the car the dssc turns on and goes thru the motions, but the computer never starts up.

and like i said, the inverter is always on.

    any suggestions?

i just double checked everything - its all wired correctly as the DSSC support says.

inverter remains on, and there is still a buzzing coming from the PSU. it is not full on, but a buzzing

Neal, your VAL/ACC lines should be connected to the ACCessory line of your vehicle.

Also, what does the DSSC do when you disconnect the inverter? Can you hear the relays clicking in series like they are supposed to?

manual says that the supplied relay connects to VAL.

i have ACC connected to my accessory line

io have the 2 wires connected to RC from each relay

ya i can switch off the inverter and everythign does as its supposed to

this worked before, i rewired everything... i used lower gauge wires to prevent heat/resistance like you and others had suggested...

i currently have 8g going from the relays to the inverter/chassis grounds, the other wires are 16 or 14 gauge

Neal, there is no place in the manual where we indicate that the VAL connection should be wired to a relay.

I have a feeling this could be the issue. Either way, if you've burned up your DSSC; we will send you a new one.

    everything is setup fine...

i dont know what could be the problem

its as if the inverter isnt responding to the relay... its like its getting no power and then when i try to restart it wont go cause theres no power...

It sounds like your Inverter may not be getting enough power.

Does your inverter turn on if you connect it directly to your vehicle's +12v and GND?

Your relays don't really make sense to me because you don't have the pins labelled at all. What connections go to what pins on the relays?
