    relay wiring help

    hello just got this relay from a ford mondeo it says on the side it is 70amps so im hoping i wont blow this up.it has four pins coming out 2 big ones and 2 small ones,they are numbered 1 to 4 .the diagram on the relay is like this



    hhow do i wire this up so it will turn on when ignition is on? thanks

    At a guess from the pic terminals 1 and 2 are the coil, 3 and 5 are the switch.

    I'd wait to see if anyone else replies before trying though, just so they can confirm.

    thats what i thought but which wires would i put on to which connector .how about
    1 earth
    2remote live
    3carputer
    5battery live
    does that sound right

    1: ground
    2: ignition +12
    3: (in) battery +12
    5: (out) output +12v to carputer
    pin 3 will only connect to pin 5 when pin 2 has 12V.
