    Epia MII 12000 standby power

    when my epia MII 12000 motherboard goes into standby the cpu fan continues to run till the machine goes into hybernate. Is this normal?. My last carputer(P4 with FIC motherboard) shut down the cpu fan when in standby. is there a bios setting?

    it has something to do with S1 / S3 ACPI setting in the bios, if I remember correctly in S1 state fans continue to work, in S3 everything is dead. Check your bios for this setting
