CarNetix CNX-P5V Point Of Load Regulator Now Shipping

CarNetix is pleased to announce the CNX-P5V (+5V/15 watt Point of Load regulator) is now shipping and will be in stock at the MP3Car Store by the end of this week. The P5V is a small switching regulator that is designed to provide +5V power (up to 3 amps) for USB powered hubs and devices (such as the Audigy 2NX sound card). The P5V is a plug-in add-on to the CNX-P1900 (no soldering required), or can be used as a stand-alone +5V POL regulator in non-P1900 applications.

For more information on this product, please see our website and Support Forum.

Yea, I got a reply to a query I made about them from Chris...

Carnetix have informed me that they are expecting to receive the new
CNX-P5V in the next few days.

We should be able to get them in stock in approx 7 - 10 days after that.

I might get everything ordered and fitted before the show on the next to last weekend in July

The P5V is on its way to LinITX now.

The P5V Installation Manual is now available for download from our website. Please post any questions in our P5V forum.

    Enjoy!

It is also controlled by the DLYON control of the P1900 so that you can safely power down your USB devices when you ignition is off.

    Missing a letter.

Well it's ordered and expected in a couple of days, along with a P1290, case power leads, 3 screen leads (2 will have the plugs changed to fit my DVD and Hub), another hub (unpowered), 512MB memory and a 5m active USB extension.....

Any instructions (with pics) for wiring the P5V to the P1290 Mike ???

Mark....oops. I mis-interpreted your question. I will add a section to the P5V Installation Manual shortly for the P1290 install.

    Edit: DONE! 7/11/05 12:55PM EST
