DSSC and Inverter, how to wire??

I have never really seen any instructions on how to wire my inverter to my DSSC. Anybody have any ideas?

They show it in the diagram, but no instructions!

Oops, I just send you a PM about this configuration. If others are interested, I'll post more info here.

I should've looked here first. As I said, feel free to call me on my cell for personal support.

Chris, can you post this info on the FAQ Emporium under "How to wire your Opus"? Diagram as well, if possible.

P.S. How's Dash PC coming on the Mac?!

Ok, Chris said I could just run the ground from the inverter to the relay and turn it on and off like that, leaving the inverter on constant. I already have two leads coming from my inverters power switch, can I not just run those to the relay?

Imagine how big the switch might be,, to break that big current at input terminal. The inverter panel has no space for it.
So the designer look for other alternative, for examples shut down the supply running to the switcher or shut down the oscillator or both. In this case it need only small / tiny switch.
Anyway, to shut down the inverter completely, it should do at the input terminal with plug/unplug method, use switch, relay etc.

i'd love to know whats what with this...

my old setup that worked well with dssc:
4 gauge to trunk to dist block. 10g to 700 w inverter relayed as chris has said. the only problem was resistance, the whole thing would overheat and shut off after 1-2 hours of driving.

new setup that doesnt work that great:
4g to my seat dist block 8g to trunk (about 10 feet - SUV) to inverter via 8gauge! wired as chris said with DSSC. Here, the inverter NEVER shuts off. the pc shuts off, the inverter is always on. sometimes i need to get out, turn off the inverter, then turn it on again to make the whole deal work. But the other problem, ovherheat - no issue - No overheat, drove for 4 hours w/o shutting it off!

Is this from a drop in voltage with the new wiring? would i benefit from a lower watt inverter? $$$ i need to know so i can finish this project!

I opened my inverter and wired a relay into the inverter's power switch.

Wire the inverter to the battery (with a fused connection at MOST 18 in from the battery)

Hook up the relay to the power switch so all I need is a 12v turn-on signal, and run that to the relay on the DSSC. Works like a champ.
