Darn ITPS! Need power help!
Oki well, I got into my ride today... turned it on... was ready to do some crusing... and then bang! I heard a little spark noise. My PC power died. Yes I did use that hated ITPS Power Sequencer :( .... I ran into my house (with the PC) opend it up and I found that the connector on the ITPS power sequencer had fried. I connected the pc to house outlet through DC... and it works fine! yay!
Now I need some help with choosing a new power supply!
Here are my current specs:
Morex 3688 Mini-ITX Case-Sliver
VIA EPIA M10000 Nehemiah Mini-ITX Motherboard
512Mb PC2100/DDR266 Stick Memory
DVD/CDRW Combo slim line Drive
40 GIG Slim 2.5” Hard Disk
60 Watt Power Supply w/ ac Adapter (Home Power)
ITPS Voltage Regulator and Power Sequencer (car power)
Windows XP
USB illuminated keyboard
MTS12000 7” Motorized in dash touch screen
After reading many horror sotries with ITPS, I decided that I don't want to get another one. So please help me :( I am thinking about getting OPUS 120 watt DC-DC power Supply. Will that be good enough? Is wireing similar to ITPS... 3 Connectors : 1 to ground, 1 to always on positive (wire straight from battery), 3 ignition?
I am also thinking about this product from Audioforge: 120 wattM1-ATX smart car power system!
