Actually mine flashes once every 4 seconds, that just means the opus is getting power and is waiting for the ACC signal

    So this isn't entirely accurate?

    1 Flash:
Battery voltage is below normal operating range.
The normal range is 11.5 VDC to 18 VDC.
During engine cranking the low battery voltage detection is ignored so the
battery voltage can dip below 11.5V.

I need a manual, anyone have a link? The link in the mp3car store doesn't work.

    Chris.

but see it just says one flash, thats it.

if your getting a repeating single flash that just means it's in standby waiting for you. Thats what mine does, just a single flash every 3 or so seconds, just tells me it's getting power and waiting for the ign to be turned on.

So the ignition line could be bad? Will the Opus not operate without it? I wonder if the fuse that runs through could have blown... hmm...

    Thanks again.

have you got the green and white wire going to the motherboard plugged in? although on most pc settups it doesnt matter what way it is on the motherboard, on the opus it does matter.

and no the Opus will not operate without an ingition line, this is what activates the opus to turn on.

put a multimeter on the ignition line while you turn the key. it should go from nothing, to your normal car voltage.

Then make sure your green and white cable is the right way round on your motherboard.

Yeah, what I would do is try shorting the acc wire on the opus to 12v, see if it tries to start. If the green/white wire is backwards you will get a double flash. At least that way you know for sure it's the opus and not something else

the Opus does not get the "hey wake up" signal without a functioning ignition line. Its best to check the voltage at the Opus. Just put your multimeter across the iginition line and the ground with the car on.

    Woo hoo! It's working!!

It wasn't a fuse, but was the ignition line. My car has a "phone connector" plug which I am using to power the screen, the FM modulator, Valentine 1 and the Opus ignition line. I have a 9 pin molex connector on it to give me the 4 grounds, 4 ignition and 1 live that I need. Seems the connection was loose, a bit of a prod and everything came back to life!

My only frustration... I have to install the Epia MB drivers to get sound working before I can test the sound through the PC, but it's all progress!

Thanks to all of you for your help and suggestions.

    Chris.
