    Question Opus wiring gauge/fuse

I've got a fuse holder that has 14 AWG wire going into it. Will this cause problems with the current draw from my 150W OPUS? Its only for a few inches and the rest of the way both to the battery and to the OPUS i'm running 10 AWG.

Well, 14awg is pretty thin. Id recomend 10 all the way. The 14 might act as a fuse itself, and cause a small voltage drop.

The first thing you need to do if you use this is to make the 14 shortest as possible, and insulate it with electric tape, in case it does melt.

Regular disclaimer: not responsible if your car blows up

12 AWG is what i use w/out any problems

I have a similar fuse holder and an 150 OPUS. I am running 12 AWG to the trunk. I get a steady current.

No wasted money, no busted parts. awesome. So it seems like havin' this lil' 14 AWG fuse holder thingy isn't gonna hurt anything. cool.

just remember better safe than sorry. And a piece of wire is gunna cost alot less than what the one you have right now will take out. Just a warning. Better to big that too small.
