Look at the figures.
Opus 150 goes for 170, so the new one is going to go for.... (guess) 200?
Your average SDC goes for 50+.
So, now we have a 300w DC-DC. How shall we (acting as the entrepreneur producing the sucker) price this thing? The simple fact that it is at least 50w higher than the nearest competitor earns it a good 50 bucks. $250. Now consider that it has an SDC - a very pricy add-on. $300.
I think most newbies would shy away from something that pricy. It's approaching the price of
displays!!!!! Keep in mind, considering the options offered, I think Dragon would be a moron not to offer it at this price - if not higher. I simply think his business model is flawed in offering too much for what the average consumer can afford. If he wants to sell Ferraris for the price of a pinto, fine, but he's shooting himself in the foot for doing so.
PLEASE! Prove me wrong. Either in the price, or that people are willing to pay more. Something doesn't add up to me, so I'd like you to straighten me out...
