8 gauge cable to 8 pin molex?

I'm confused about connecting to the 8 pin molex (m1-atx).

The 8 gauge cable is too thick to fit into the molex (i'm a noob!) so I can't find any samples of how to go from that big cable to small molex pin.

Could someone point me to photos or diagram of how to connect to the molex from a fat cable? The molex 12v red line is real small.

Well the only suggestion i have to have a 8 gauge distro block and use a small cable from this to the molex connector. The cable between the distro block and the molex will only have to be rated to 8 amps maximum (far far less that what the 8 gauge can take) Of course the length of this smaller cable needs to be short - too long and there could be a voltage drop along it.

For the distro block - the cheapest thing I found is a metal bus bar block used in the building trade to connect house power earthing points together.

Unless this 8 gauge cable run is going from hood to trunk or something, it sounds like it may be overkill. Back on subject, though - be sure you fuse the smaller gauge wire that you run between the 8 gauge and the m1. A fused distro block would be convenient.
