I'm proud to announce that there will be serial port user loadable updates. I got the bootloader working!!!

I'm not going to release the source code though.

Here is the power supply drawing 238 watts:

Nope, that is what the big fan is for. I acutally do have little brown spots under a few of the 25 watt resistors..

Which software is needed to upload the new code? hyperterminal? or another third party software supplied by the bootloader maker? or did you make your own?

I was about to paypal the moneys for a unit but since it says that we need to send it back for final firmware I just had to hold off.... not worth getting the psu if I'll want it upgraded and would have to send it off spending nearly the same amnt of money just in shipping...

I'll just hold off for this one or the 300w from dragon

jeff, send email to skylab address.

Just asking about features that you have added to make it suitable for cars dirty power (just looking for assurance and layman terms)

Also, glad to see you got the bootloader working. Would be a big relief to not have to worry about it going missing in the post!

Guys, I just want to add my two cents about the firmware.

It is WAY better than anything I've seen before, I honestly have no desire to uypgrade anything.

This is the best value on a PSU, period.
