    Battery dying

I put a new battery in my explorer this past winter, and then I got the m1-atx (I was using a morex, also good PSU).

with the M1-ATX I was using suspend to ram and it would last till morning for for a few months, then I noticed my voltage was sitting at around 12v even while running, not the usual 14 or more.

    so, does this mean
    a) battery is going
    b) alternator is messed up
    c) voltage regulator in on the alternator is messed up.
    Shawn

I jsut got an e85 conversion kit for my Audi 1.8t, it's very cool, and saves me money! e85 conversion kit

your alternator & regulator are serviced as an asembly..... get a good remanufactured unit.... motorcraft, don't be surprised to see companys like bosh & delco also posibaly offering a unit for your truck.... stay away from generic auto parts rebuilts

if you've added amps & stuff you may want to consider an upgraded alternator also...

there look to lestek or stinger, possibaly fosgate..... there are others....

130 amps is on the upper end of what's factory available.... I guess go for it if it's cheap enough..... I would prefur to put something in that I would'nt have to worry about again for a few years..... a used alternator is a little iffy.., probably better than a cheap rebuild though...
