    Is my M1 cooked?

I have finally got round to installing my car pc today. I have had it running off a mains supply for ages to get it setp at home. Today I had chance to install it in the car. So I changed the circuit board for the power suppy from the house hold on to my M1. I have it connected up fine. + - And Ing are all in place and the + and Ign have voltage to them. The fans are spining on my VIA EPIA MII12000 C3 Nehemiah CLE266 Mini ITX Mainboard. I have also connected the 2 wire lead from my M1 j6 to the power switch on mt MII12000 but it will not fire up.

Any thing I have done wrong?

Does not sound like you've done anything wrong. A few things to try (at your own RISK TO THE M1) - things that i have done.

    - disconnect (12V, ING, Ground)
    - wait 5 minutes
    - reconnect (Ground, ING, 12V)
    - try again

    - also, try putting a switch on J8 and press and hold for 5 seconds or something like that

The startup switch is polarity sensitive on the M10000, may be the same on the M12000. Just reverse the wires from the power supply that signal the board to start.

-NOTE- that I am talking about the "on" switch for the PC, not the power supply wires. Wouldn't want you to fry the mobo!

Ah good call. I also had this problem with switch polarity.

The PS-ON on the MII can be hooked up either way.

To test to see if your supply is working just get a screw driver and short the ps-on pins on the MII motherboard.

You will need to have the ATX PS connected, if it works you have a problem with the M1-ATX sending the PS-ON signal to the MB.

If you still don't get any life check the 10 amp fuse on the M1-ATX
