Mine now works, i don't think it was anything wrong with my wiring. As i mentioned in the other post, the PSU won't turn the computer on with the top plate (with the fan) of the PSU attached. I have removed it and unplugged the fan and it turns the computer on.

In the process of doing that i also removed my Capture Card and underclocked my Atholon 2500+ to a 1900+ (from 166FSB to 133).

I tried to put the top cover on and plug the fan in, i screwed all the screws in and it wouldn't boot the puter. I took it off again and it works. Maybe it's shorting something out i don't know. I have enough fans in my case to cover it anyhow.

Oh yes... old issue, forgot to mention this one...

open up the opus, you will see some coil things, one of them must be touching the case when closed. If it touches the metallic case it causes the PSU to crap out and not boot.... Either bending it a little bit (CAREFUL not to break it!) or just isolating the contact area should do the trick and give you back your fan and case

    good luck!

You sound like an expert roy, I did a little research on the opus. One thing, is it external or slap on somewhere with USB. I cant get the hp evectra to open. The opus1900 sounds perfect but don't know if its compatable with this stupid computer. its free btw. Should I just buy a laptop and do it?

yeah, the opus 1900 are what most ppl are talking about.I want to know if I can install it without getting into the computer. I cant even get into the computer box. its a small evectra. If someone has any idea on how to get into the box, or an alternative route to powering the computer with auto start and shut off. Feel free to post. And if you have something you want to share because you've read this.

    I will read it also.

I think that you're confusing two different products. The opus products are the 150, 120, 80, 90, and POL. The CNX-1900 is a Carnetix product.

As for running the wires into it, if there's not room inside of the case, you could cut a hole in the case, run the lines and molex connectors through the hole into the case.

#mp3carnub, seriously, what are you on about??? Opus 1900? do you meand a carnetix 1900??? post pics of your evectra machine...

(mean note: if you cant even find a way to open your computer case then maybe you should find someone in your area to build a carpc for you... or read a LOTTTTTT - you seem to need a lot of learingnig - as you will only tend to hurt yourself/your hardware if you go into this whole thing blind.... dont take it personally, a carpc isnt as easy to put together as a server cluster....and I tell you from experience...)
