OPUS peoblem SOLVED!! read me
alright guys, i decided to create a new thread cuz it applies to more than just me. as u know from the other threads i was having a problem getting the opus to get the computer to post. it would boot, spin the drives but would not post. today i decided to pay a visit to opus (80 miles from me) and heres what i found out:
both the OPUS and the mobo were fine, but what i was doing was connecting the 2 yellow and 1 red together for testing. and then i also ran it in AT mode (with pin 1 and 2 jumpered on J6). well the solution is as simple as this:
ralph the opus tech said it happens all the time:
DO NOT CONNECT THE RED WIRE UNTIL THE FIRST BLINK OF THE OPUS. i dont know why, i dont care why, but unjumper J6 and only give +12v to the red wire AFTER the first blink.
its been running for an hour now, no problems. actually im getting the system to how i want it right now. 7" screen is NICE but a wee bit small on the system fonts. ah well ill get used to it.
btw the powermate kicks ***...haha
