Hey yall, I'm in a bit of a fix here, as I have to have this up and running by monday, so if anyone could point me in the right direction ont his I'd be much appreciative. I did try searching and read several thigns so I have a few ideas of whats going on but wanted to know what the impact of my particular setup would be.
I'm using a Via EPIA m13000 mobo with the
onboard sound. Xenarc 7" LCD.
I'm using the 16 gauge
power wire to run to the m1-atx 90w DC/DC PSU thats integrated into the ampie case.
Now, the way I have it wire currently, is a direct power and direct ground off ring terminals directly from the battery back to a relay at the psu, then from there it goes out of the relay into the computer.
There is no ground after the relay, the ground is done at th ebattery as I assumed that this would be a bettery ground than fooling with bare metal and the general chassis grounding. (I am aware this coul dbe my problem but want confirmation and solutions if it is)
Essentially what I'm getting is classic alt whine when engines running, and I can hear the Hd and internal case fan spinning through the speakers, I bypassed my RCA wires and ran directly to the aux. in at the factory
radio and still get it. Tried another audio source (ipod) and dont get this so its obvuisly the computer.
Solutions are definatleyt apprecaited!
