Power supply Problem

I am working with a Rhycom 600watt 115v power supply being powered by a 750watt Power inverter. They The problem is i can't get it to power on at all. I have tested the power inverter with two other power supplies. One being the exact same type power supply and getting nothing, the other being an older power supply and powers fine.

The other strange thing is that when i plug the Rhycom power supply in and you tuch any bare mettal (a screw, the case is painted) you can feal a small buzz.

Has anyone else had any problems with a setup like this?

And what about a ground, do you think i should ground the power supply box to the truck?, i'm not useing a metal case to mount anything.

what is the older power supply? lower wattage i am guessing
and why do you need to use a 600 watt power supply
i would ground the power supply but would lower the wattage

Break the ground prong off of the power cable you are using between the inverter and power supply.

I found the problem, The power inverter that i am useing is only rated for 110v and is putting out 112v. The power supply needs a 115v input. I have tried other inverters and it has worked fine.

I went and got a 120v power invertor today and it works. The power supply makes a light arkeing noice inside of it when its pluged into the power inverter though

Not everyone around here knows what they're talking about, but some of us do. If you come in search of help, pay attention when it is offered.

If the inverter worked with one power supply, then the inverter was probably fine. Did you break off the ground prong yet? I can't guarantee that it will fix your problem, but you do need to do it one way or the other.

I had to replace my inverter and the pc will only power on when i remove the ground prong.
Is it safe to run without the ground???
the inverter is grounded well right now
