Power rating of T6
Isn't the coilcraft T6 transformer only rated at 630ma??
so therefore on Sproggys circuit, you can't draw 1.3amps on the +12volts and 200ma on the -12v and 5v combined?? or, did I miss something again.. :D

I don't know... I've seen him make some very helpful posts. Of course I've seen some lame ones too, but it doesn't bother me. He's helped me more than he has hurt me.
Anyway. I'm not sure about the rating of the T6 (the datasheet didn't mention anything but temperature rating and dimensions), but I did notice it getting pretty damn hot when I was running my system. It says it can handle -40c to +85c. I hope it won't blow :)
Where did you find the electrical specs on this?
The specs I have for T6 are actually for a different transformer made by a different company, but all the specifications are the same.

5v has nothing to do with T6 on Sprossy's supply.If you use more current on -12v,you will get less on 12v.

So, as I said before, how can you draw 1.3amps???
1.3A is what the National design program produced and I had no evidence to disprove it. Coilcraft did not display the current rating of their transformer.
Very little current is used by the -12V and -5V. With the flyback design, what is not used on the -12V winding can be used by the 12V winding (limit is core saturation). If no current is use by -12V winding, 1.26A (0.63x2)is available on the 12V winding. The windings have low enough resistance to not expell much power (0.19W @ 1.3A).
hey sproggy buddy then how come im getting 3.3amps on the 12vdc rail ...
and im getting 5.3 and 5.3 on the 5 and 3.3 vdc rails
so i guess the meter is working fine....??
Then how come 3.3amps on the +12vdc rail all i have changed in your design is the SA28A diode to some equivalant one... ???
