    Question 5v power for lcd

    ok im putting A vfd in the front of the car. it requires a 5v power. the specs say min 4.5 max 5.5 at 355 mA. would a 12v line from my ac line run into a 7805 regulator work? thanks,

    Yes, current is low enough. Put a heat sink on the regulator, you're going to dissipate up to 4W of heat.
