3,3v is used for memory and cpu
Older (AT) boards have built in regulators to regulate the voltage down to 3,3 from 5.

Hey anyone knows here wat does the ATX mobo require the 3.3 vdc rail for ??
cause i got AT to ATX converter.... here sold in the market just wondering will it work
cause there is no 3.3vdc in the atx connector
so just wondering will it work cause the shop guy said it will and does!
