It's a rather touchy subject. Willy-nilly grounding can cause ground loop problems. I would put everything together first, and the go about grounding to eliminate noise.

Is grounding the Head Unit to the same inverter ground gonna help wiht inverter noise? perhaps I won't need the GLI.
I am just thinking about grounding the entire sound system to one place. Only part that is not right now is the head unit. Should I also use power the HU from the same 12V source as the inverter as well?
I want zero noise!!!
