    Angry M1-atx

Can anyone please provide me with the specs on the component i have circled in red. It looks like a capacitor if so can you try and read the specs on it and if possible post some close up photos.

That cap on my M1-ATX blew. Ive double checked all my cabling and still cant figure out why as it was working fine when running on my atx psu inside. At anyrate it is going to be quicker to solder on a new one then send for waranty so if you can post the specs it'd be brilliant as I can get it working tomorow.

i dont even have that cap on my m1-atx. Not sure what revision i have but i think that it atleast is the one with new firmware.

Anyways, you should be able to solder a cap with simular capacitance and voltage as the old one, it propably does not need to have the same specs, just be sure to have the same voltage or higher. it should be an electrolytic cap, like 22uf 50v i think

    hmm.

yer my guess was a 22uf 50v as it looks very similair to the cap in the bottom right. Just gotta go buy one tomorow and see how I go. Aside from that the install into my car went nicely cept I think im going to run the lcd from the m1-atx as well to stop it going off during engine crank.

I just run my lilliput from the radio's supply, works fine even during crank, tho it did not work fine when my battery was discharged, try charging your battery?

my dww one the 700H goes off during engine crank so yer looking to wire it back into the pc's power supply.

also on that note, fixed the psu and found the issue. the knob that did my car stereo install wired positive to the black cable and negative to the red cable... I subsequently want to punch this person.. anyway now that ive sorted that and soldered on the 50v 22uF capacitor its working brilliantly.

From the land where all the blond hot babes come from. Everyone is named olga and the weird thing is that we all talk with a swizz accent... give it your best guess.
