    Question Powering car from 120v

    I had my car hooked up to a 50amp Pyramid PS at Hot Import Nights last night, but it couldn't handle the power when I tried to crank the volume. Do any of you know where to get beefier power supplies to handle this? I see ppl that have connections built right into their cars.

    why not just get 2 power supplies and put them in parallel?

    If you need more than 600W to power your carputer/stereo, I think you're turning up the volume too loud.

    well, with my carputer that has a 220w PS, 2 inverters, all my neon, my 2 big amps that have 60amp fuses, my monitor, i think that power would get drained pretty fast. I didn't even have it loud at all. you shouldn't make assumptions.
