after shutdown m1-atx, fan is still spinning

Is my m1-atx or m10000 broken?
Everything was ok, but now my pc wont shutdown well.
It isn't windows problem. in power-off state the cpu fan is stil spinning and my amplifier is still on. (12V from PSU to remote on on amp)
what is wrong? There are 12V in PC, hdd off, leds off, but fan is spinning and amp is on .. when i switch power on button.. pc will start good. and when i shotdown (in windows by start>shutdown or by on/off case button) ...

Everytime I must disconnect and connect red cable from baterry+ and m1-atx, if i want totaly turn off pc.

maybe i did something wrong in bios.

Thank you so much and i am sorry for bad english

It sounds like you fried a switch on the 12V rail. The 12V rail can no longer shut down completely. The other components on the 12V rail shut off when the voltage drops below a certain threshold but the fan will spin proportional to the supplied voltage. Take a multimeter to the 12V rail when the system is off. I think you will find that there is around 5V still being supplied to it when it is supposed to be 0V.

yes. you are right! but cartft wont to accept my RMA

the psu work good except this one thing. there is really about 4V after shutdown.. it is possible to repair it myself? I going to buy m2-atx, but this m1-atx i would like to put in my dad's car..

I'm not sure there is anything you can do to fix it short of soldering on new transistors for the 12V rail. You could set the jumpers to hardoff the system after 1.5 minutes (or whatever the shortest delay is) as a workaround. This would prevent any power drain caused by the problem but would also make suspend impossible. You would have to hibernate or shut down the system.

    thanks much for help..

yes. i am using 5sec / 45sec for now. i think i dont have shorter setting on my m1 - have not new firmaware..

I am deciding to go with m2-atx, and i dont need any shutdown/start-up controler but i want the voltage protection (if < 11V, do shutdown). I want manual on / off. Problem is (imho) that the voltage protection works only if psu is in hardoff-never state.

so m1(2)-atx uses the swiched posible wire (white) for start/shutdown. as i said i dont like this. i like manual, so i have a switch on dash and i turn on / turn off the switch, which power the white cable to m1-atx.
But if carputer is on(and the white wire is powered) the battery drain protection doesnt work.

so i would like to use it as "standart non-vehicle psu" or do not connect the J6,J8 pin to MB an use wire, which has voltage only when engine is runing,. (now i use a wire which has voltage when key is 2nd/3rd position(primary for radio).

    uhhm what a long post...

now i have this setup: m1-atx with 5sec/45sec, j8 pin is conected to MB and white (switchable +) wire is connect to my tree position switch (on/off and automatic - wire that use radios.. in this wire is voltage when ignition key is on 2nd position... i think i need a wire what has voltage when engine is on. Not only when key is on. i hope it is understable.....my english is ****

this the switch. is has 3 position. off, and switchable two inputs. One i have directly from battery and second is originaly from radio.. there is voltage only when key is clocked.. i dont need auto-start/stop. No matter if i will use siply button or switchable switch. But i need a low voltage protection when engine is off and pc is on. Any recomendation?

I would like to have something what do automatic shutdown by pressing mb power switch, when there is not enough voltage or the temperature is too high.

I was thinking on this: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...products_id=58 and my m1-atx..

but it cuts power if there is not enough voltage (or temp)... i want soft shutdown
