do oi need an m1 atx

    Hey guys

My plan is to have laptop PC, but i think i will need a seperate PSU to give me power for accesories (like hdd). I was going to control startup with modded power button, and shutdown with battery standby so i dont really need a SDC.

What PSU should i get, where i will just wire it to ACC relay and use it to power external drives/hubs/and my 7" TS. Is M1 ATX overkill?

Opus point-of-load PSU will likely do what you need.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

seems like a good simple asolution, i hadnt seen that, its great

BUT im a touch worried abouyt 15W

My lilliput is probably around 10W, leaving only 5W. That 5W needs to do an external 3.5" HDD at a bare minimum, but i would like excess for later additions like hubs. Will that 15W POL be enough guys?

The HD i just got draws 14.5w max. So my instincts tell me NO.

the m1-atx provides 90 watts of power and I believe there is also a 90 watt opus. I have not seen or heard of a 15 watts psu as of yet.

the 3.5 drive might be a little much on the 12v rail of the m1-atx. better off going with a m2-atx or an opus.
