wow, good luck! that seems like a tough problem...
Where or how would I get a 12V DC-DC power supply that has an isolated ground? The problem that I'm running into is a video converter that I am using (Component to RGBS) needs to have a ground isolated from the video ground (car body ground) otherwise there is no video output.
I am using an inverter and the original AC-DC power supply for the converter unit, but I get interference in the picture when the car is off or on. I am assuming that it's the AC-DC power supply is causing the interference now. So any options here?

Sweet...but $165 is a bit steep. I'll do one more test to see if the AC-DC adapter is the issue for sure, before I shell out that kind of cash just to get rid of a bit of interference.Originally Posted by proph
How much power does it need? maybe use a separate battery that you take into the house to charge every now and then - but a messy solution.
convert to AC, run through isolation transformer, convert to DC
