Windows XP power option for Shutdown. Circuit design help.

I need some help, I am going to have the Keypower power supply wired straight to the battery like a stereo amp.
In Windows XP there is a option to hibernate, ask me what to do, shutdown, etc...
If I choose Shutdown, is there a simple way to design a circuit that connects the power switch leads for a second when it senses 12 volts and then connects the leads again for 1 sec when the 12 volt load drops?

Basically a addon to Jeffs shutdown controller that also pushes the power button on a 12 volt on sense, ann not just the 12 volt off sense.

Actaully Jeff's is quite sufficient enough. That's great that people make and sell this stuff. Maybe I'll try to get one from him after I get my system running.

Where would I find the shutdown controller you're speaking of? Sounds like I'm doing the same thing you are. I found an empty slot on my fuse row in my truck that has switched 12 volts and a 30 amp fuse. It would be cool to have a controller to turn on/off my computer. That would be even better than just hard wiring. Let me know where I can find info on this device.

You can get the shutdown controller from Jeff. I just ordered one from him prebuilt for $33.00.
