    Question Connecting a inverter

I was wondering where the best places was to connect a inverter to the car as i am unsure if the Ciggerette lightersocket will be able to cope with the current for a 300w inverter.

Would the best idea connect it straight to the battery.

straight to the battery is best, but dont worry the computer wont suck the 300Watts from the inverter anyway.......

I have heard differing opinions on where is best to wire an inverter to. I am thinking the battery is best, but do I need a cheap breaker or anything? It'd be pretty easy to hook one up, but I haven't heard of anybody doing that and was just wondering if there is a reason for that.

just fuse it, a 15A fuse should do the trick rather nicely.....
