Long extension cord.
I'm trying to put together a very low budget, low tech computer in my car. Basicaly all I will have a 15" LCD monitor, small PC (~200W), and my 1985 Nintendo. I need to be able to power it at car shows and it will only be used then too, so I dont need a start up/shut down or anything. I cant leave my car running for 8-10 hours, but I do I need some way to sustain power to it all with the car off. Any ideas?
Think big open parking lot, no power source. But that is a solution for indoor events.

Honda VTEC power generator or atleast an inverter.
Seriously, 15" monitor: depend on what type of power does it takes. 12V DC in or AC in with power supply inside (build in).
Nintendo, that is AC only (if I remember it right). Or you just have to hack the power supply to take DC.

Forget the Nintendo unit and go with an emulator.

Thought about that, but I wont have the controllers or the look of the unit.Originally Posted by xs10x
If it's for car show purposes only you could most likely wire an array of deep cycle batteries to power it for the duration fo the show and then charge after depending on how many hours... will lead to how many batteries.
