Which Optima I know yellow but which yellow?

I am not sure which yellow top I should get. I don't care about size becuase I am going to build a custom enclosure for it so I will build to fit. Whats the best model of the yellow tops becuase they seem to have different tolerances.

    d51 ... d34.... I don't know

    thanks

Is this for a second battery?

I don't know the answer, but I'm curious as well.

    yes

There are alot of models of this battery I have seen some with more life then others so all yellow tops are not created equal. I don't care about size becuase I am building a custom enclosure so I just need to know what the best yellow top optima they make.

    In the same boat...

All of the different model specs are available here: http://www.optimabatteries.com/publi...cal_specs.html

If someone who knows about batteries could check out the link and let us know, that would be great. It seems to me like all of them would work. I think that Capacity (C/20 Rate) might be the same as AHr.

Pretty much they're all the same thing. If you're looking for longer running time, get the one with the higher CCA value. Size doesn't matter, but cost might. Look for the best mix between cost and CCA, otherwise, Yellow top is Yellow top.

Yea, those part numbers are called group numbers, all it is is different specs for different cars. Let's say you have a 2000 nissan sentra, the group number might be a 24, it would be about mid width, mid heigth, depending on whats required for it to fit in the car. So if size is no issue to you, go with the one with the most cranking amps (CA) and cold cranking amps (CCA). Although I would not recommend a huge one if you are limited on space, either way it should be more than enough for what you are using it for. And remember they cannot be fast charged they have to be tricklecharged and that takes a full day.
