    super lcd ac adapter

Sorry if this in the wrong section of the forum. I just got a "Super" branded 7 inch touch screen lcd from another member on the board and was wondering if anyone knew what type of ac adapter would work for it. I got the dc adapter for my car, but would like an ac adapter to use when I troubleshoot the carpc in my house. thanks in advance. by the way, yes i did search for "super lcd ac adapter" and it populated 2 results.

Anything designed to be powered by a car's battery will work with any 12V A/C adapter of sufficient current output. Just make sure that the A/C adapter can output the amperage the LCD requires, and that you've got the polarity right (positive to positive, ground to negative), and don't reverse it.

You may need to pull the tip off the adapter to make it work. You can get multifunction adapters at Radio Shack or Fry's Electronics.

Would a Lilliput AC Wall Adapter work with the "Super" touch screen? Based on what the above reply, I would think so. thanks!

The Lilliput also uses +12VDC, so the first part of the question (Does the adapter output at 12V?) is answered.

The second part, "Does the adapter provide sufficient amperage?", is where the problem lies. I don't know how many (milli)amps the Super pulls, nor do I know how much the Lilliput's adapter puts out.

That's something you'll have to research. I've given you the means, now just get the numbers and compare, and you have your answer. =)
