where to put ignition wire from opus 150w

hi, i have searched for this but i can only find answers involving cigarette lighters, which i cannot use

    basically the problem is:

where can I put the Ignition wire on a Ford Fiesta mk4/5 from an 150w Opus

preferably somewhere near the boot, which is where the comp is going

Cigarette lighter is useless as it's on all the time

    Thanks

You'll need to wire it to your accessory line - doesn't matter if the 12V is permanently connected, as the opus won't power up until there's a signal from the acc.

will an amp remote turn on wire do?

or will it have to be the cigarette lighter? or what about rear lights?

I'd get a live (fused of course) directly off the battery - it's what most people do. I wouldn't power a 150W PSU off the rear lights

No - the battery goes to the battery of course, and the ignition goes to the er....ignition! When your ignition goes live, your opus will power up and switch on your pc. Did you get a manual with it?

Did you even look in your other thread?

    opus 150w ignition wire
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

The simple answer is to use the ignition/ACC wire that feeds the radio. It's already fused at the fuseblock, and goes on and off when you'd expect (and want) it to. And yeah, why *is* that other thread in that area?
