    M2-ATX Not shutdowning.

I have a brand new M2-ATX and it won't send the shutdown signal to the mobo, it will wait 45sec (what I have it set too) then hard shutoff. Has anyone had a similar problem?

    1) What M/B type do you use?
    2) Please check your ON/OFF wires.

If the M2-ATX turns ON the M/B, it should turn it OFF as well.

Also, try it again with no OS installed (just BIOS) and see it it shuts down. Your OS might not recognize the ON/OFF button or it is set to 'ignore'.

Andrei, what about the polarity of the wires connected to the MB, could that be a problem. of course, only if it doesn't turn it on also.

It worked fine with the M1. The computer starts up just fine.

    The mobo I have is a MII1000.

I just tried it in the lab with a MII10K and it works, I am not using any OS, just the M/B with plain settings.

For troubleshooting purposes, just try to shut down the M/B manually, see if your OS is recognizing the on/off button.

What kind of OS are you using?

I did a little troubleshooting. I went out and hooked up my M1-ATX and it worked. Hooked the M2 back up and it wouldn't soft shutdown the PC weather it was in BIOS, waiting for the OS to boot, or in WinXP. It starts the machine fine but just won't soft shutdown...

Pls send me a PM with your shipping address, I will send you another M2-ATX, but I would need yours back to test it.

Please reset your BIOS to factory defaults before we 'exchange' PSUs and try it one more time.

Also, please be aware that while windows is booting there is a 'blind' period where XP won't listen to on/off commands, but I am sure you know that...

    Thanks,
    Andrei
