Hard off is when the power supply cuts all power output.
like the title says what is it? i have a m1 atx and i want to set it to 30 mins before shut down. i dont understand what the hard off feature is and how to enable or disable it. thanks
Hardoff is the term use for the manufactures to describe a brute power off (meaning that if for some reason the OS hangs, the PSU will power off the SYS even if there is an APP open *same action than when you keep the power button press for 5 secs or more*)
Thanatos.
The opposite of a hard on, like when you see this girl

i got dat ***** sittin on 22s! SUPERMAN EDITION!
ok so when i put the jumpers in the 30 min selection it WILL power down in 30 mins right?
Does anyone know why hardoff is still recommended over the 11.5v cutoff? It doesn't seem clear as to why it would be required to use the hardoff function to prevent battery drainage when the PS is supposed to cut power anyway.
it is an extra safety feature, incase:Originally Posted by silencery
your operating system hangs during shutdown (softoff) and so your computer is still running
OR
your battery voltage goes under a certain level (which will make it incapable of starting your car engine)
