    MB896F Motherboard 4-pin power?

I have an M896F motherboard and an M2-ATX power supply. The motherboard has a 20 pin ATX power connector as does the M2. The motherboard also has a 4-pin power connector which is apparently used with the P4 processors. I have a pentium M processor.

When I turn on the power the fan runs for about 30 seconds and then everything shuts off.

Am I supposed to hook up the 4-pin power connector between the M2 and the motherboard?

Yes, you need the P4 connecter. There are adapter cables. Cost under $10.
