well after a few hours it worked!!

when powering it for the 1st time nothing must be connected except the power ofcourse
then add stuff!! thats the only way i got it to work!

oh and i found the LED its tiny!!

I had a similar issue on my OPUS 150 .. but I found that If I gave it 5v on the 5V rail.. it would power up the pc fine.. once again this is only a issue for the first time.. or whenever the OPUS has lost power completely

well while driving today boom it turned off!!
so tired to unplug it and try the same it did'nt work
so u unscrewed it and then it worked (only power plugged in)

so i thought maybe the wooden board!! something with that?
    put a cardboard under it
tested for about 30 mins worked fine

only problem i noticed it keeps on restarting the whole system when i try to save sometimes or like start the GPS
it just restarts!! not sure whats up with that!!

    any ideas?

    thanks

first guess is that you are right at the limit of your power supply.. since it reboots whenever you have a spike in power usage..

    get a OPUS 150w

i am running my monitor from the pc
should i just wire it directly to the power from the battery? (same one used by opus and amp)

that will help your power supply out.. BUT the display wont be as clean.. you will see some light distortion on the monitor.. at least I did on my monitor...

just keep in mind that you might be exceeding it on the 5v rail instead of the 12v rail... in which case the monitor wont make a difference.. but you wont know until you try right?

so i thought again of wiring the lcd direct
i dont have a switch for the monitor so it will stay on! so i decided to give it another shot!

tried to test again but it wont turn on! (opus)

so i got fed up and took it out
started looking at it carefully!! and the line that goes through the ground to the motherboard of opus is cracked and does'nt conduct...

so gonna fix it tom and see what happens...
